The OMG is the premiere, global standards body for systems and digital engineering. Adaptive continues to participate in the development of key OMG Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and modeling standards referred to as specifications, such as:
- Meta Object Facility (MOF) repository
- Unified Modeling Language (UML)
- Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
- Architectural frameworks such as the Department of Defense’s Architecture Framework (DODAF) and most recently, Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
OMG MBSE related standards including data models are built on MOF leveraging an OMG Model Driven Architecture (MDA) approach. Adaptive Analytics provides an interoperable and scalable enterprise platform that connects data, metadata, models, and other information vertically and horizontally throughout an enterprise. This works for corporations (domestic, international, and multi-national) as well as government entities (federal, state, and local). At the core of the platform is an open standard-based, advanced digital and model driven repository with a semantic engine that connects data, metadata and business information to processes, functions, organizations, objectives, policies, regulations, projects and programs.
MOST RECENTLY, Adaptive Analytics has been working with both the Chief Systems and Chief Digital Engineers at the Office of Secretary of Defense to define requirements for a Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) enterprise platform which would complement MBSE tools with a repository solution. Programs engineered by stand-alone tools are not sufficient. The Adaptive platform’s capabilities allow technical and business programs, program offices, acquisitions, digital engineering development and integration environments to interoperate as an enterprise for each service (Army, Navy, Mariane, Air Force and Space Force, etc.) and across DOD.
